NEW WORKSHOP FOR SUMMER 2024!!
Welcome to the world of possibilities with UV resin and jewelry. The combination is endless and I have to warn you, totally ADDICTING!
Ultraviolet resin cures in minutes so your creations don't have to sit overnight or for endless hours to be ready. UV resin therefore is perfect for making small items like jewelry, key chains, small bookmarks, etc.
You will all be given a choice to select 5 pendants, 2 pairs of earrings, one bracelet and another few treats to create during the workshop. Included in your registration is all supplies to make the pieces plus one chain for your pendants. There are a mesmerizing supply of decorative elements to use in your creations such as pressed flowers, glitter galore, diamond dust, german glass, ocean/sea embellishments, reflective glass, rhinestones, and MORE!
You can also use colorants for your resin such as alcohol ink, pigment pastes, dyes and of course mica powder & color shift or opal powders.
The hardest part will be to narrow down what you want to do during our 3 hours together!
On hand will be 4 UV resin lights to be shared with the group and all tools you will need to get you started in this introductory workshop . If you have any mini treasures that you want to incorporate into your jewelry, please bring everything with you because it's absolutely amazing to create something personal and your Creative Coach, BerylAnne will be thrilled to assist you (ie: pieces of jewerly, little bits of lace or fabric, lock of hair, tiny photographs).
For those who are not familiar, alcohol ink is an acid-free, vividly-colored, alcohol-based dye that is liquid, translucent and fast drying. It is best used on non-porous surfaces (e.g. ceramics, synthetic papers, glass, etc). Versatile, unpredictable, mesmerizing, relaxing and affordable! Alcohol ink art spans across talent levels and experience because it's not really a medium that lends itself well to being controlled - which is why is perfect for beginners and established artists alike. There are always happy accidents that delight and surprise.
No matter what you think of your creativity, everyone will make something beautiful during this workshop; but keep in mind that creating art is not about producing a product rather it's about enjoying and learning through the process of unexpected discoveries !
This is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!!
NOTE: If you decide to try your hand at using alcohol ink, we will be using 99% isopropyl alcohol which does have a strong odor (VOC) and NOT suitable for elderly and very young people. Workshop is in the lower level so stairs are involved.
Gloves and aprons are provided. Refreshments such as coffee, tea, pop, water and assorted prepackaged treats are here for you but you can bring something of your own choice as well.
Preferred registration by etransfer to memoriesaremade@gmail.com or by using this ticket agent, Eventbrite.
