Does your pet have a microchip? If not, drop by our Microchip Clinic on Sunday, June 16 from 10:00 am
-2:00 pm and put your mind at ease. Both cat and dog owners are encouraged to attend this fun event
and get their pet chipped.
Why microchip? Every year shelters and humane societies across North America take in thousands of
lost animals. Many of these animals never make it home because they can’t be identified.
A microchip is a permanent form of identification that gives lost pets a better chance of being reunited
with their owners. It is quick and practically painless. We simply inject the rice-sized computer chip
below the pet’s skin between the shoulder blades. All veterinary clinics and animal shelters are
equipped with hand scanners that can read the microchip with enables them to determine the pet
owner’s contact information and help reunite the pet.
All proceeds will go to our OSCAR fund (Offering Subsidized Care for Animal Recovery. This fund was set
up in our clinic in 2017 to help pets in need of urgent or emergent care.
